My day: Video shooting in Stockholm

With three phones and five alarms in total, I was set to get up early enough for a busy day of business in Stockholm last Saturday. Lucky my new Huawei Mate 10 Pro has such a soothing song as an alarm, waking up doesn’t feel half as bad as it did before even if I have to be a human before the sun even rises.IMG_20171104_084202.jpgIMG_20171104_081629.jpgIMG_20171104_084839.jpgI jump out of bed and drag myself to the cab waiting for me outside and meet my film crew at the airport. It’s only a 45-minute flight to Stockholm and we spend it going through the day ahead while I try to replace the blood in my veins with caffeine. On my second cup of coffee, the sky starts to clear out and the sun rises above the clouds. I cannot stop snapping photos of this favorite view of mine, while the businessman behind me probably wonders it must be my first flight. So what did we film in Stockholm all day? Well, as a professional blogger and social media consultant my phone is often my most important work tool – often even more important than my laptop. I demand a lot of my phone; it needs to have the best possible camera, a lot of memory, a long-lasting battery and it pretty much needs to be my assistant telling me when and where I have to be.This is how a Finnish teleoperator asked to film my regular business day with me for their next commercial. So there I was, walking around the city doing my thing with 5 people and cameras following me all Saturday and Sunday. The whole campaign is done in partnership with the Finnish data provider DNA, but the English translations are not part of the official campaign – I just want to let my international crew know what I’m up to!IMG_20171104_112138.jpgIMG_20171104_064936.jpgIMG_20171104_090046.jpgIMG_20171105_075805.jpgAs a dedicated iPhone user, it feels wild to admit that from last weekend on I have turned into a Huawei fan. And I’m not kidding. I’m amazed by this phone. Huawei Mate 10 Pro is perfect for my needs as a professional in social media, photography and staying on top of my schedule and to do lists. There is also a lighter version of the same phone, Huawei Mate 10 Lite, which I will try in the next weeks and tell you how I feel about it.IMG_20171104_120210.jpgIMG_20171104_114838.jpgAll the photos on this blog post have been snapped with Huawei Mate 10 Pro, and I’m still amazed by the quality. I’ve always been so against of using phone photos on my blog, but I believe this is slowly becoming my favorite travel partner on the side of my DSLR, Olympus PEN and Canon Powershot (why do I have so many cameras?).

5 of my favorite features on Huawei Mate 10 Pro so far:

  1. Leica camera and Bokeh feature
  2. How fabulous my selfies turn out in the dark
  3. Forever lasting battery (well, compared to my previous phone)
  4. Big enough screen for doing emails and blog posts on the go
  5. The phone is so smart, I have today officially hired it as my assistant
